Khalid Sherdil is the new CEO of the Urban Sector Planning & Management Services Company (The Urban Unit). He has served as Secretary for Industries Punjab, where he looked after the portfolios for Commerce, Trade, Investment and Technical Training (TEVTA). Khalid has also served as Labor Secretary for Balochistan looking after Manpower and Technical Education.
Khalid Sherdil is ABD (All But Dissertation) in a Doctoral degree in Computer Science at University of Western Ontario, Canada. He has Masters degree in Computer Science from McGill University Canada, and Bachelors in Computer Science from Washington University, Missouri, USA. He has Electrical and Computer Engineering Degrees from Washington University and a Bachelors in Physics from the College of Wooster in Ohio, USA.
As a researcher in social issues as well as IT, Khalid Sherdil has authored seventeen (17) publications in journals, international conferences and the annual State of the Economy reports. He is Managing Director of Pakistan Administrative Service Alumni Research Center (www.PASARC.org), Director of Lahore Center for Peace Research (www.LCPR.pk), and has also served as Director of S.J. Burki Institute of Public Policy at Netsol (www.SJBIPP.org).
